The Story Behind Candywood Wine Cellar

This century-old barn once housed a prized Black Angus herd; however, in 1966, the barn took on a new role as a clubhouse and banquet center for the formally known Candywood Golf course. After sitting vacant for a period of time, the property was purchased in 2018 and was fully renovated. Although the barn was completely updated with many new amenities, the interior of the building still maintains much of its original character and charm. With renovations complete, the barn now boasts a gorgeous restaurant and beautiful spaces for events of all sizes. The hope for the current owners, who took over in 2022, is to continue to preserve the barn’s historical architecture while making modern enhancements to the property so guests can enjoy hosting events and frequenting the restaurant at Candywood year-round.
