This century old barn once housed a prized Black Angus herd. In 1966, the barn took on a new role as a clubhouse and banquet center for the formally known Candywood Golf course. Dale Soinski purchase the property in 2018. Since then he has renovated the interior of the barn while keeping it's character and charm. As well as making several additions to the exterior of the building. Candywood Wine Cellar is set on ten beautiful acres. The winery embraces the farmhouse-industrial details.
Dale Soinski was born in raised in Bedford, Ohio and grew up with 5 siblings. Dale has always had the need for speed, in the 1990’s Dale competed in Offshore Professional Powerboat Racing Tours across the country including Florida and Texas. Not slowing down yet, now in his 70’s you can find Dale at the range or flying his Gyrocopter.
In 2018 Mr. Soinski recognized a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to restore a 145 year old barn, and transform it into a stylish, modern farm house restaurant and winery. Dale has a real passion for people, family and of course food. He envisions Candywood to be a gathering place for friends, locals as well as a destination for seekers of great cuisine and fine, approachable no-fuss wine.
